Foodstall

2004

I was invited by poet Leung Ping-kwan and photographer Lee Ka-sing to collaborate on creating the exhibition Hong Kong Foodscape for The Heritage Museum in Shatin, Hong Kong. This cross-disciplinary collaboration circulated around writing related to food, in particular the poetry of Leung. One of my contributions was the installation Foodstall (Daipaidong), which consists of sensorial stations where various scents and sounds are triggered through the interaction of visitors, who experience through audio Leung’s poems and sounds of my mother’s cooking.
